Vivitek D8800 Large Venue Projectors used for Special Film Screening

Two Vivitek D8800 projectors with short throw lenses and soft edge-blending used for screening of ‘BORTH’ a film by acclaimed British filmmaker, Gideon Koppel. 

 

Challenge

To find a way to project a 12 metre long and 4 metre high image, with a throw distance of 10 metres, and maintain maximum picture quality in a white gallery space.
 

Solution

A Vivitek D8800 with a short throw zoom lens, creating a seamless 3:1 aspect ratio image and retaining the high resolution of the original material.
